"Chokoladnica" has bought "Coffee House"

The chain of coffee shop “Chokoladnica” has completed the acquisition of its main business rival “Coffee House”, belonging to Timur Khairutdinov. TASS reported with reference to kartoteka.ru, starting from 6 October 2014 OOO “Chocolate House” is the owner of 100% shares of the capital of “Coffee House”, “Espresso and Cappuccino bar”, ”Almador” and “Dilantes“. According to the system SPARK, the owner of the chain of coffee shops “Chokoladnica” Alexander Kolobov owns of 99% of “Chocolate House”.

Earlier “Kommersant” reported that the bargain may increase a turnover of “Chokoladnica” 1,5 times and exceed 450 million dollars. In this case, in the possession of combined company would be almost 650 coffee shops. “Chokoladnica” has 420 outlets, more than 230 of them are located in Moscow, 100 shops - in the regions and 90 shops work by franchise contracts. “Coffee House” has 226 own coffee shops throughout Russia.

“Coffee House” and “Chokoladnica” are the largest chains of coffee shops in Moscow opened in 1999 and 2000 respectively. According to Synovate Comcon, by the January- June 2014 the coffee houses took the fourth place in attendance, they were visited by 15.4 % of the population. In late 2013, 18.1 % of consumers gave preferences to these coffee shops.
